NEPR Grand Opening
Published September 8, 2014
On a beautiful late summer afternoon New England Public Radio celebrated the completion of their new broadcast and office facility, designed by Kuhn Riddle and constructed by Adams & Ruxton, on Main Street in downtown Springfield with a ribbon cutting and block party.
Attendees included Congressman Richard Neal, Springfield Mayor Dominic Sarno, State Senator James Welch, Umass Amherst Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy, NPR’s All thing’s Considered host Audie Cornish, Former NPR personality and Honorary Chair (NEPR 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign) Anne Garrels, Captial Campaign Chair Jack Dill, NEPR Foundation President Paul Lambert, and NEPR CEO Martin Miller.
While we have been involved in the design and construction of the facility for the last two years, the event really represents the successful completion several decades of planning on the part of NEPR. More project images are available here.
