The Berkshires, MA
Nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, the poolhouse opens completely to the outdoors during warm months via sliding doors that fold away. In winter, swimmers can enjoy the water while watching the snow fall.
New construction for two retiring couples who had been friends for decades and decided to grow old together by sharing space. Three distinct pods wrap around the hillside edge to create a sheltered courtyard. The Garage Pod includes a guest suite for children and grandchildren; the Main Pod contains the formal entry, dining room, great room, and large eat-in kitchen; and the Master Bedroom Pod contains two master suites and private patios.

Meadow House is a design for a group of sustainable homes available from Tomlinson Builders. The houses are one-story, 2,000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and an open floor plan. They are customizable for different client needs and sites. The design was inspired by the spare geometric forms of the area's tobacco barns, combined with the porches of the classic farmhouse. The result is both modern and traditional, crisp and inviting.
2013 Chatham Preservation Award
Originally constructed around 1880, the house was in need of significant repairs and upgrades. The renovated project includes an ample front porch that enhances the form of the original house as well as additions to the rear that expand dining and kitchen areas.
