PROJECT DESIGNER – LEVEL I

KRA is a 15-person, design-driven, community-oriented, sustainability-focused, woman-owned firm located in the center of Amherst. Projects include educational from Pre-K to higher education; residential including high-end single-family as well as affordable and market-rate multi-family; commercial work from coffee shops to corporate offices; and community-based work with a variety of nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a collaborative team member with potential for growth within the firm.  Applicants should possess an accredited degree in architecture or interior design, 3 to 5 years’ experience working in the architecture field, and the following skills:

  • Strong design and graphic skills by hand and through multi-media software
  • Ability to collaborate on design problems and quickly sketch out ideas
  • Ability to think proactively
  • Solid Revit and Enscape experience developing 3D models as well as schematic and detailed construction documents
  • Sustainability-focused design experience with Passive House, Net-Zero, Living Building, and/or LEED projects
  • Construction Administration field and office work
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

PROJECT MANAGER/ARCHITECT- LEVEL II

KRA is a 15-person, design-driven, community-oriented, sustainability-focused, woman-owned firm located in the center of Amherst. Projects include educational from Pre-K to higher education; residential including high-end single-family as well as affordable and market-rate multi-family; commercial work from coffee shops to corporate offices; and community-based work with a variety of nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a collaborative team member with potential for growth within the firm.  Applicants should possess an accredited degree in architecture or interior design, preferably an architect’s license in the state of MA, 5 to 10 years’ experience working in the architecture field, and the following skills:

  • Leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of designers and builders
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with clients and team members
  • Strong design and graphic skills by hand and through multi-media software
  • Ability to mentor junior staff throughout the process of design, drawing coordination, and construction
  • Coordination and integration of our consultants’ work into the architectural design
  • Ability to think proactively
  • Solid Revit & Enscape experience developing 3D models as well as schematic and construction documents
  • Sustainability-focused design experience with Passive House, Net-Zero, Living Building, and/or LEED projects
  • Construction Administration field and office work
