Ruoqi Zhong joined the architectural team at Kuhn Riddle Architects and Designers because she is inspired by architecture that connects to its surroundings, serves the public, and makes a positive difference in people’s lives.

After working in Chicago designing large-scale international projects, she moved to Minneapolis–St. Paul, where she gained valuable experience at a firm dedicated to thoughtfully designed environments for work, play, worship, and living. She brings her integrative, transformative approach to her work at KR, where she collaborates closely with clients and consultants. Ruoqi is skilled at problem solving, and brings efficiency and versatility to every project. Her experience spans multifamily housing, education, community organizations, and private residences, where she applies both technical expertise and careful attention to detail.

Ruoqi received her Bachelor of Architecture in 2011 from Harbin Institute of Technology in Heilongjiang, China. In 2014, she earned both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She lives with her family in Western Massachusetts. She loves the beauty of the area’s mountains and forests, and enjoys gardening, reading, listening to and playing music, and walking in the woods.
