Ruoqi Zhong joined the architectural team at Kuhn Riddle Architects because she is inspired by architecture that connects to its surroundings, is public-oriented, and will make a positive difference in people’s lives. After spending seven years in Chicago designing larger-scale international projects, she yearned to work on projects centered on the salient details of human/architectural connections. In Minneapolis-St. Paul, she found a niche in a firm that focused on creating thoughtfully designed work, play, worship and residential environments.

Ruoqi continues to follow her integrative, transformative design focus at KRA. She enjoys working closely with clients, is skilled at problem solving and versatile in her design abilities. She applies her expertise and attention to detail to K-12 educational projects, community organizations, multi-family and private homes.

Ruoqi received her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2011 from Harbin Institute of Technology in Heilongjiang, China. In 2014 Ruoqi was awarded two degrees at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne: Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Ruoqi lives with her husband, toddler, and dog in Western Massachusetts. She loves the beauty of this area’s mountains and forests, and enjoys gardening, reading, listening to and playing music, and walking in the woods.
