Machu Picchu Field Trip

Ann Marshall and Elizabeth Morgan met with consultants at the warehouse for the Yale Peabody Museum yesterday, to go over elements for the Machu Picchu exhibit destined for Peru.  The exhibit was originally designed to travel the United States.  As of this summer, it will return to Peru 100 years after its discovery and will be permanently on display in Cusco, the historic capitol of the Inca empire.

Ann Marshall and a consultant survey the warehouse racks.

Ann Marshall discusses railing details with a consultant in front of a replica of an Inca wall. In the final exhibit, there will be no need for replicas – they have the real deal in Cusco.

No, this is not how I typically travel. How are they going to fit my porters in here?
