5 University Drive

Mixed-use project currently in construction at the intersection of Amity Street and University Drive. The project will replace the former Rafters building and the existing Encharter Insurance building with a new 6-story building.  The first floor on University Drive will have commercial spaces.  The upper 5 floors will be residential apartments.  Along Amity Street all 6 stories will be residential.

 A variety of cladding materials and rhythmic steps in the façade create a pedestrian scaled street scape. The project has the potential for up to 103 apartments. Some of the upper level apartments will have views of the Holyoke ranges or Umass campus. The building will be Passive House certified.
