Project Description
This will be the UMassFIVE College Credit Union’s flagship branch, to be constructed on Rt. 9 in Amherst with very high visibility. The extensive glass of the design is meant to evoke a lantern that glows and brings members to the branch.

Sustainable Features
KRA is aiming for net zero with this building, using local materials, timber frame, all native species plantings, rain garden, pervious paving, and solar panels. The HVAC is expected to be air or ground source heat pump.
Interior Design
The interior features exposed timber and a 2-story vaulted lobby. It will be a member-friendly space, with a community conference area and lounge/seating areas. The branch will display local artwork, and will host UMass events.
